In my opinion it all comes down to entitlements. What are we entitled to as citizens of this fair city? Do you think we're the only ones with these problems? NO! It's all over the country, in every little berg and huge metropolis. Just look at California, the entitlement capital of the country. HA! what a joke, and WE will pick up the tab for their conveniences through more federal taxes on the poor. Fuel, tobacco, alcohol, sugar and even vehicle registrations, all increased taxes on the poor.
So now ask yourself, "what am I entitled too?" and then imagine how an increase in some tax or 'added fee' is going to effect the poor and even many of the middle class. Can you look yourself in the mirror and say "I'm glad they're watering my park and picking up the litter" without thinking of your neighbor, the senior, having trouble paying her property tax or buying fuel for her car.
Quit thinking of yourselves you selfish pigs. Look in the mirror and figure out which entitlements YOU can do without and while your at it go drive your neighbor to the grocery store.
Entitlements, yours and mine
