corruption probe into union/Mob

Culture of corruption: Newspaper edition

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 17, 2009 02:25 PM
The printing plants of several newspapers in New York City were raided today as part of a corruption probe into union/Mob ties.
It will be interesting to see how vigorously the newspapers cover the story, no?
AP:
A law enforcement official says the New York Police Department raided circulation offices at some of the nation’s largest newspapers as part of a union corruption probe.
The official says the offices of The New York Times, the New York Post, El Diario and the Daily News of New York were raided Tuesday. The official spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.
The official says the newspaper delivery system around the city is under investigation. It was unclear whether the news operations were involved, although the official initially said they were not.
The 1,600-member union that delivers papers was previously accused by the Manhattan district attorney’s office of being run by the mob.
NYTimes’ blog:
The New York City police raided the offices of three major city dailies and El Diario on Tuesday morning as part of an investigation into allegations of corruption within the union that delivers newspapers in the metropolitan area.
A warrant was served at the printing plant of The New York Times in College Point, Queens, by New York City police officers working in conjunction with the office of the Manhattan district attorney, Robert M. Morgenthau, as investigators sought paperwork related to the work of the Newspaper and Mail Deliverers Union, which bundles and trucks newspapers across the region.
The offices of The New York Daily News on West 33rd Street, The New York Post on Avenue of the Americas and the offices of El Diario, a Spanish-language newspaper, in the MetroTech center in Brooklyn, were also searched, according to a law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing.
No one was arrested, and the search warrants issued sought to collect records.

"I owe these unions."

"I owe these unions."

President Barack Obama couldn't have stated it any more clearly.
And after spending a cool BILLION dollars to put their political cronies in positions of power in Washington, D.C., the union bosses couldn't agree more.

They want PAYBACK.
After all, Barack Obama and the rest of Big Labor's allies have already promised, "What Big Labor wants, Big Labor GETS!"

The Top Ten Things That Capitalism Has Done For Michael Moore

You're wrong, Michael. Dead wrong. Capitalism has done plenty for you, sport.
  1. American Capitalism made your 7,500 calorie per day diet cheaper (and tastier) here than anywhere else in the world.
  2. That shirt you're wearing. Polo, by Ralph Lauren. $80 in size XXXL, available at Big and Tall Mens shops nationwide.
  3. Horizontal stripes. A guy your size would be locked up in most socialist countries for that fashion faux pas. Probably executed in Italy, France or Sweden.
  4. The world's best health care system, good for taking care of behavior-related chronic health care issues like cardio-vascular disease, type II diabetes, and gout.
  5. Intellectual property rights are protected under capitalism. (It makes me shudder to refer to your, ahem, body of work as "intellectual property", but there you have it.)
  6. If you subtract out the rentals and royalties you've earned from theaters and distributors who are capitalists, you'd be living under a bridge somewhere.
  7. Your freedom to ambush corporate CEOs made you rich. You try that stunt with the new owners of GM, and you'll have your kneecaps broken.
  8. Or worse, your next movie will be called Jimmy Hoffa and Me.
  9. A cushy apartment in Manhattan, the Bolshevik paradise.
  10. Most of all, you should be thankful that capitalism has given you an affluent, liberal, self-loathing audience which eagerly laps up your tripe.

It’s Not Just ACORN

It’s Not Just ACORN; SEIU’s Underage Sex Scandal
by Bret Jacobson
http:not-just-acorn-seius
The ACORN-linked, “public option”-mongering Service Employees International Union has its own black eye to contend with. A former official with SEIU Local 1000 in California was slapped with a 25-year prison sentence for charges of child molestation and making/possessing child pornography. News10 reports a troubling angle:

Jaime Enrique Feliciano, who served as president of Service Employees International Union Local 1000 representing thousands of Sacramento-area state workers, had previous convictions for child molestation and failure to register as a sex offender.

Previous convictions? ACORN and SEIU deserve each other.

Another activist Judge overturns a voter approved amendment.

Another activist Judge overturns a voter approved amendment. Now my question would be why??? Jeepers, this amendment was opposed by the unions who have a very strong presents in this state. Do you think that could have anything to do with it? I personally believe that the unions can buy and sell anything and anyone they feel like. Do you suppose they were holding something over this judges head to bend her will or just plain bought her off. I do!!
GOD, I wish there was a simpler way to impeach these bastards er (bitches) as this case is.
I wonder who placed this judge on the bench

Complaint against Wally World Dismissed

The Federal Elections Commission has decided to dismiss a complaint by labor groups that accused Wally-world of pressuring employees to vote against the Commiecrats in last Nov. election.
This kind of left wing nonsense reminded me that during the Nov. election, my wife,(member of the teachers onion)(errr union)was mailed, EVERYDAY, pure union propaganda, all pro Obama. They spared absolutely no expense on the large heavy paper, glossy print, color full page ads.
Just part of the millions or billions or trillions of dollars the unions spent towards the election of Obama, that now is going to be repaid, tenfold, back to the onions.
Sorry about the millions, billions, trillions part. With my dyslexia and all those zeros I can't tell 'em apart anymore.
